Once you enter the woods, it's confusing unless you know where to go - no blazes in sight, aside from the first ones marking the turn-off. I just walked up the woods road, and hoped I'd eventually find blazes. I passed a couple of "Keep Out" signs. Very friendly! Beyond the signs you could see old tires scattered about in the woods.

So do you know the status of this trail
What I meant was: what's with the keep out signs? There are now no trespass signs posted by the city. Maybe there's a new land owner who doesn't want to host the trail. Maybe I'll just call the FPA...

Dang, that's disturbing!
The Connecticut Walk Book doesn't mention the lack of blazes in this area, and I don't see anything on the CFPA site. I haven't been back since 2006, so I don't know what it's like currently.
I took the "Keep Out" signs to mean you're not supposed to go off the dirt road onto the property off to the sides. The dirt road leading up to the trail seemed to be popular with dirt bikers when I was there. Maybe that led to the no trespassing signs. I hope this is not a problem for the blue trail there. Please let me know if you find any info!
See my current post about this issue. I'll add any new info there.
Good news: the trail is open! Those signs do not apply to hikers.
